Favourite Pasta Dishes Around Australia

Australians are among the world’s biggest fans of Italian food, we love it nearly as much as we do meat pie and Lamington cake! It’s not too surprising since many of us share some Italian ancestry with a recent census revealing that around 5% of Australia’s population identified as being of Italian descent, with around a hundred thousand of them being born in Italy, and twice that many actually speaking Italian at home!

Considering that, it’s easy to see why there are so many delicious Italian eateries Down Under, places where you can get the best pasta in Ocean Grove, or pizza, or whatever Italian specialities tickle your tongue, made by people who know the traditional ways of preparing them because that knowledge was passed down from family through the generations and it’s full of love!

Of course, Australia is a big country, and the people of every region have their own unique opinions on everything, and that especially includes food! Let’s take a peek at what a recent survey had to say about Italian pasta preferences around the country! You might be surprised to find that what your neighbours like when they order Italian is the same as what you do, or not!
